COVID-19 IMPORTANT ORCHARD INFORMATION
We missed you! We are very excited to be able to welcome you back to Cannamore Orchard this year for many activities including apple/pumpkin picking, family activities, and our famous Acres of Terror Halloween Haunts!
We are continuing to implement enhanced health and safety protocols in accordance with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit to keep you and your family safe while you are visiting our Orchard. Acres of Terror will be a limited ticketed experience, and all tickets will have to be pre-booked online in advance.
Please read below, as we provide more information on the enhanced safety protocols and more specific information on Acres of Terror, Family Activities and Apple/Pumpkin picking.
General Information
Physical Distancing

All visitors must follow physical distancing rules mandated by the Ontario Government, by staying a minimum of 2 meters (6 feet) away from other guests.
Pre-Screening

All visitors are required to self-assess their health and are encouraged to stay home if there is any possibility that they may have contracted or have come into contact with COVID-19.
Additional Measures for Staff Safety and Visitor Safety

As required by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU), all visitors will be required to wear a mask or face covering when entering any of our indoor spaces, or where physical distancing cannot be maintained. This includes the Orchard Store, Canteen, Chip Truck area, House of Terror, Fog Maze and Spooky Village.

Hand sanitizer is available at various locations throughout the Orchard.

Enhanced cleaning practices throughout the Orchard and attractions.

The Orchard Store has barriers installed at the cash registers and fudge counter. Please use hand-sanitizer before entering and exiting the store. Masks are required while in the store, and please socially distance from others while inside.

The Orchard Store is also open Monday to Friday during apple season.

To make the purchase of fudge in the Orchard store safe and speedy, the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) has indicated that no samples are allowed, and fudge will be sold in blocks: 1 block (~¼ pound) = $4.25, 4 blocks = $17, buy 4 blocks and get 2 blocks free!

We encourage using tap on your debit or credit card for payment.

Washrooms will be available on-site and will be cleaned regularly.
Acres of Terror
Tickets
-
All tickets must be purchased online and booked for a specific date and time slot, in order for us to ensure the ability to maintain social distancing while on the property. Tickets are only valid for the date indicated on your ticket, and are non-refundable.

Only a limited number of tickets are available per 15 minute time-slot. Small groups of will depart every few minutes.

Tickets cannot be purchased for individual attractions. Tickets can only be purchased for the full Acres of Terror experience including all attractions.
Vaccination Policy

This year, guests & staff who are eligible for a vaccine are required to be fully vaccinated* to attend Acres of Terror events. *This means you have received your second dose of a Health Canada approved vaccine 14 days prior to coming to Acres of Terror.

Guests will be required to provide proof of vaccination when checking in as well as a piece of photo identification.

Children 12 and under do not require proof of vaccination (since they are not eligible) but must still follow other masking policies.

If you have a valid medical reason that prevents you from being vaccinated, please provide a doctor's note as well as a negative test result to enter. No personal medical information is needed.
Attractions

Masks are required to be worn when entering all attractions or any indoor spaces on the property. They are also required while in lineups.

In order to stay in compliance with rules from the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU), your visit to Acres of Terror will be guided by a real witch or warlock. They will guide your group to the different activities, to ensure a one-way route is followed and minimal crossing of other groups. As such, wait times for the attractions will be minimal.
Grounds

Please maintain physical distancing by staying a minimum of 2 meters (6 feet) away from other guests while on the property.

Lineups for the different attractions will be marked with distancing lines to ensure you stay a safe distance away from others while waiting in line.
Apple/Pumpkin Picking & Family Activity Weekends
Pick-Your-Own Apples and Pumpkins will still be available this year, with various modifications in place. Family Activity Weekends will still operate with enhanced cleaning and safety protocols in place. A limited number of guests will be allowed on the property at one time.
Pick-Your-Own Apples

In order to reduce the handling of your produce, guests will be required to pre-pay for the size of apple bag they want before heading out into the picking fields. Apple bags will be available in 5 pound, 10 pound and 20 pound sizes.

Designated picking rows will be indicated upon your arrival, and staff will direct you to the proper rows.

Rows will be one-way only and physical distancing from others is required.

Staff will be out in the fields to help you find the correct picking rows and to ensure everyone is staying safe while out picking.
Family Activity Weekends (FAWs)

FAWs will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm until Thanksgiving weekend with enhanced safety protocols.

The cow train and covered wagon rides will be available but subject to enhanced cleaning protocols.

Designated wait areas with lines to maintain distance will be implemented.
